The Ranger Raptor is headed to the U.S for the 2023 model year and will be warmly welcomed into the Ford Raptor family of off-road vehicles. The Raptor Ranger is a mid-size pickup truck that’s been optimized for off-road performance, with features like a more powerful engine, bigger brakes, and an upgraded suspension. The Raptor Ranger will be able to take on any terrain, whether it’s the sand dunes of the desert or the rocky trails throughout California. For those looking for a off-road pickup that is smaller and potentially more versatile than the full-size F-150 Raptor, the 2023 Ford Ranger Raptor could be just what the doctor ordered.
Similar to the Bronco Raptor Powertrain, the Ranger Raptor with a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6 engine, providing up 392 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. These figures are speculative at the moment but regardless, it will be the most powerful Ranger to date.
Drawing from its larger brother the F-150 Raptor, the 2023 Ranger Raptor will be equipped as four-wheel drive standard, with 2.5-inch diameter Fox shocks. The new Ranger Raptor model will likely be paired with large 33-inch BF Goodrich K02 all-terrain tires, which will automatically upgrade the off-road performance for the Ranger in any trail conditions.
Aside from the esthetic and performance upgrades in the 2023 Ford Ranger Raptor, the new pickup gains a giant 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system, plus Ford’s Sync 4A software and a premium audio system. This setup will likely include Trail Assist features currently available on the other Raptor and pff-road focused models.
The Ford Ranger Raptor is expected to go on sale in 2023, but contact the team at Hacienda Ford in Edinburg, TX to find out more and stay in the loop when ordering opens up for the exciting new edition.
